We offer a wide variety of live and recorded trainings, including on religious trauma, being queer affirming, narrative therapy, music therapy, substance use, and more.
Religious Trauma 101
Interested in learning how to better understand and work with clients that have complex backgrounds of religious and spiritual trauma? This training will provide a broad and comprehensive look at the ways specific teachings and upbringings in high-demand/high-control religions can lead to trauma, distorted thinking, identity struggles, and more in our clients.
SC Nealy, LPC regularly runs different types of trainings focused on aspects of religious trauma to best help clinicians work with clients with that background.
Learning How to Be Queer Celebratory
It's great to be an ally to the queer community, but what does that really mean when working with LGBT+ clients as a therapist or in mental health settings? Learn how to not just be affirming, but to celebrate differing identities and how to put that into your work competently and carefully.
Taught by Roland Scheppske, LPC, participants will explore ethical, affirming, and culturally responsive practices for working with LGBTQIA+ clients. This training emphasizes moving beyond competency toward a queer celebratory framework while examining bias, ethical decision-making, inclusive language, and practical strategies for creating safer therapeutic spaces
