Our couples and partners counseling services are designed to help you and your partner(s) overcome interpersonal challenges and achieve your goals together. Our clinicians offer a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you and your partner(s) can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies for positive change in the relationship.
Historically, premarital counseling has been gatekeeped by religious entities and not accessible to queer partners. The divorce rate for the LGBT population is consistent with the cishet population at 50%, and therefore it is important that the same premarital counseling and assistance is offered to everyone equally.
We offer a 17 page, 2 hour premarital assessment and review that covers all topics including extended family, finances, sex, domestic work/chores, personality differences, conflict resolution, communication styles, and more.
We specialize in helping couples and partnerships in which sexuality and/or gender is fluid, transitioning, or being explored by one or multiple parts of the couple. Gender and sexuality is a lifelong journey, so it makes sense that our life partners would be on the exploration with us. Sometimes this can cause friction or tension, and we're here to help people figure out how to manage those changes and/or if they want to.
Many of our clinicians are also parents and are passionate about working with that population to best strategize parenting methods, coping skills and emotional regulation, and co-parenting with former spouses or partners and/or their new partners.
All of our clinicians support and are affirming of any type of partnership, including aromantic partners, polyamorous and ethical non-monogamy based partnerships, and those in the sex worker community. Relationship dynamics can be difficult no matter how the relationship is set up, and we're here to help you figure out those dynamics.
Not every partnership is meant to go the distance, and we're here to help people work on deciding whether or not they want to move together in a relationship. We also offer support and guidance to people as they explore and navigate break ups, divorce, and/or co-parenting relationships.
