To join any of our groups, individuals are required to meet with the group leader for 1-3 individual sessions first to make sure the client is a good fit for the group and is ready for group therapy.
While it is not a requirement to be in individual counseling while also in group therapy, it is strongly encouraged to have regular individual check-ins with the group leader to best facilitate your experience in group.
Groups are currently 60-75 minutes in length both in person and virtual and between $100-130/session. Sliding scale options are available. Before seeking group counseling, check with your insurance company about out of network reimbursement. Ask the following questions:
1. What is my out of network deductible?
2. What percentage is reimbursed before and then after that deductible is hit?
3. What is the specific reimbursement/coverage for CPT codes 90853 (group counseling)?
