Dr. Chloe Goldbach has extensive experience in working with neurodivergent populations, including those on the Autism Spectrum and with ADHD neurotypes, and is very excited to begin offering comprehensive testing in person and virtually for those over the age of 14 years old.
Comprehensive psychological assessments are a powerful tool for helping individuals better understand their experiences, and identify accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on an individual's unique experiences. The assessment process will also help individuals identify their unique strengths and help identify resources that clients can connect with in order to meet their needs. Part of the reason for the length of the assessment process is that only focusing on experiences commonly associated with ADHD or Autism can lead to an incomplete picture of a person's experiences, strengths, and stressors.
In addition to thoroughly assessing for ADHD and/or Autism, Dr. Chloe Goldbach's assessment process also includes screening for other symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, obsessions/compulsions, learning ability) to help create a more holistic explanation of a person's experiences.
To qualify, you must be 14 years old or older, local to the Washington, DC area, or virtually available in one of the 40+ PSYPACT states across the USA. See the list of PSYPACT states here.
Testings are ONLY done on Thursday afternoons, and Dr. Goldbach can provide a doctor's note for work or school to attend. Please set aside a minimum of 5 hours on that Thursday for the testing and sessions.
Email Dr. Chloe Goldbach at chloe@lgbtcounselingdmv.com to discuss an appointment.
It can be very difficult to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder in adults and children, and so the only way to do so accurately it a fully comprehensive, long assessment and testing by a psychologist. These assessments can be extremely helpful for work-related accommodations, school/college accommodations, potential protections or support services under the ADA, state-supported ADA services, and possibly medical accommodations or insurance coverage for assistance items or services. It can also be extremely helpful for just understanding oneself better, and being able to focus your individual therapy or other self work on those areas.
In total, this will take 11-14 hours of time. The client will be required to be present for approx. 6 hours of that time. With the standard charge of $250/hr, one can expect a total cost of.$2,750-$3,500.
Final reports will be sent within 2 weeks of completion.
For those interested in official psychological testing and evaluation to determine if they have a diagnosis of ADHD, and/or other struggles with executive functioning, Dr. Chloe Goldbach offers comprehensive testing in person and virtually. Learning about and getting officially diagnosed with executive functioning disorder(s) can be extremely helpful for work-related accommodations, school/college accommodations, potential access or insurance coverage for assistance items or support services, and possible eligibility for ADHD medication treatment. It can also be extremely helpful for just understanding oneself better, and being able to focus your individual therapy or other self work on those areas.
In total, this will take 9-11 hours of time. The client will be required to be present for approx. 7 hours of that time. With the standard charge of $250/hr, one can expect a total cost of $2,250-$2.750.
Final reports will be sent within 2 weeks of completion.

INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT:
Our organization is out of network with all insurance carriers, and will not be in network in the future. Because of this, payment for services are due in full to our organization. You do have the option, however, to submit the superbill we will provide you after to your insurance company and see if they will reimburse you for part of the expense. So far, we've seen clients receive between 40-80% reimbursed, but you'll need to call your insurance company to find out exact details. Below is a list of questions to ask them.
Ask the following questions to your insurance before treatment:
1. What is my out of network deductible?
2. What percentage is reimbursed before and then after that deductible is hit?
3. What is the specific reimbursement/coverage for CPT codes 90791, 96101, 96102, 96130, and 96131 (psychological evaluations)?
RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATIONS:
Due to the lengthy time testing takes and the fact that Dr. Goldbach can only accommodate 2-3 clients for testing a month, we cannot accommodate a lot of rescheduling. If you need to reschedule, we ask for 2 weeks notice, or your deposit is forfeited. With 2 weeks notice, we'll work to get you in the next opening we have, but it might be weeks or months later.
Any and all cancellations forfeit their booking deposit, and will not receive a refund for any reason.
